A rare feat for even the most gifted students; 17-year old high school senior Kwasi Enin was accepted into each of the eight U.S. Ivy League universities. Enin received acceptance letters from Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale. He was also accepted into several other top-ranked schools. After careful consideration, Enin announced on Wednesday (April 30) that he has chosen to attend Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Enin made the announcement from his high school gymnasium in Mastic Beach, New York, a small suburb located in Long Island. Although it was a difficult decision, unlike an exam, there was probably no wrong answer. Enin's proud parents and younger sister attended the announcement. While mom was surprised, Enin's father, Ebenezer, was not. Enin's parents came to the U.S. from Ghana before Kwasi was born. The 17-year old has more than intelligence and talent on his side, he is also a violinist in the school orchestra and a shot put and discus athlete, according to local media. Enin said the secret to anyone's success is to set high standards to "push yourself as far as you can go."After Yale, Enin said he plans to go to medical school and become a doctor.
